Dear Friends of Austin Symphonic Band:

Last November we informed our donors that, due to an IRS processing error involving our tax return, ASB had temporarily lost its nonprofit status. We are pleased to share that our tax-exempt status has now been fully restored without interruption.

In correspondence received from the IRS through Senator John Cornyn's office, the agency confirmed that “the tax returns have been accepted and processed correctly” and that ASB is once again in good standing.

If you postponed your annual contribution until we could verify that donations remain tax-deductible, we are happy to provide that assurance. As always, we encourage you to consult your tax advisor with any questions regarding the deductibility of your contributions.

We will soon announce an important fundraising initiative and hope you will consider supporting our efforts. ASB has long depended on the generosity of donors to provide world-class musical performances and educational opportunities throughout the Greater Austin community.

Your continued support is essential to our mission. Through your contributions, we are able to enrich lives, inspire future generations, and bring the joy of music to audiences across our community.

Thank you for your commitment to ASB and the arts.
