The Austin Symphonic Band, renowned for exceptional performances, presents its third concert of the season. The program promises a diverse range of music, from the playful Variations on a Theme of Robert Schumann by Robert Jager to a new Clif Jones arrangement of the American classic Showboat. The audience will also experience the dramatic "Bacchanale" from Saint-Saëns' Samson and Dalila, and the world premiere of Sinfonietta by Ryan Fillinger — the winner of ASB’s Second Young Composers’ Contest. The concert will conclude with the energetic Dance of the Jesters by Tchaikovsky, ensuring a finale that's as festive as it is memorable.

From the rousing “Commando March” by Samuel Barber to the poignant “Lest We Forget” by Robert Jager, each composition captures the spirit and the emotions of an era marked by both tragedy and heroism.
