Hi All,
I hope everyone had a great rest of the week.
We are excited about the ASB Young Composers Competition. As of Thursday night, we've already had 11 submissions! Thanks goes to all who help make this idea a reality.
In past Announcements, we've mentioned how we can help Connally out with band volunteering. If you are thinking about this, PFISD requires an application. The link to the volunteer application on the Pflugerville ISD website is here: Community Relations / Volunteering in PfISD
It takes up to a week. Once processed and approved, you will receive an email. Forward this email to Matthew Garrison (CHS Band Director) at matthew.garrison@pfisd.net for his records and at that point you can volunteer as you have time. The next event for the Connally Cougar Band is the UIL Region Marching Contest on Tuesday, October 11th, followed by the Area D Marching Contest on Saturday, October 22nd. Both times are TBD as of yet. Please contact Ren at ren.macnary@gmail.com if you are able to help at either of these events.
And finally, so it is in writing, dress rehearsal for our November 6 Concert (at Connally) is on THURSDAY, November 3 from 7-10pm in their PAC. Please make sure your calendars are updated.
